About the Club

Hampden Park Bowling Club was founded in 1912; Hampden Park Ladies Bowling Club was founded in 1928. Both Clubs became the Hampden Park Bowling Association in 1988 when control of the clubhouse and greens was handed to the Association by the local authority. In 2009 the Men’s and Ladies Clubs combined to form Hampden Park Bowls Club.

The Club is affiliated to Bowls England, the Surrey County Bowling Association, and the Surrey County Women's Bowling Association.

Hampden Park Bowls Club participates in friendly and competitive matches around the East Sussex area. All members are encouraged to play in these matches. The Club hosts Men’s and Ladies County representative matches and Eastbourne and County Men’s and Ladies competitions.

Touring clubs are entertained throughout the season with many making return visits. Any rink configuration can be accommodated, Men, Ladies or Mixed. The greens are open from the middle of April to late September.

The club has twelve rinks. The greens are maintained by the club to a very high standard and are recognised as being amongst the best in the area. There is ample free car and coach parking within one hundred yards of the greens.
